Help Centre

Welcome to the eCustoms Traveller Help Centre. This page explains how to file a declaration, pay duty, and present your receipt at the counter.

Before you start

  • Register with your MyKad or passport, then sign in.
  • Have a list of what you are bringing in or taking out, including gifts and dutiable items.
  • Cash or bearer instruments above USD10,000 equivalent must be declared.

Filing a declaration

  1. Sign in — use MyKad, a passport scan, or email. Returning travellers can reload a past declaration.
  2. Declare items — list your luggage contents and dutiable items. Photo upload is optional.
  3. Pay duty — the amount is calculated automatically from the HS code.
  4. Scan QR — present your QR receipt at the green or red lane for the officer to verify.

Duty-free allowances

Travellers who have been outside Malaysia for at least 72 hours are entitled to:

  • An RM500 general allowance and an RM150 food-preparation allowance
  • 1 litre of alcoholic beverages
  • 3 pieces of apparel, 1 pair of footwear, 1 personal-care appliance

Duty applies only to the value or quantity exceeding the allowance. If you were abroad for less than 72 hours, these allowances do not apply.

Ways to pay

  • DuitNow QR (Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay)
  • Credit and debit cards
  • WeChat Pay e-wallet
  • EFT-C2G

A digital receipt is generated as soon as payment succeeds, and can be retrieved later from the Transaction History menu.

Tracking a declaration

Use the Track Declaration link at the top of the site to check the status with your declaration number.
